In all, 349 jumps were made over the eight hour day from a high tower, 'safety' braking being provided only by a small fan which whizzed around, powered by a rope attached to the jumper's harness. Height of the jump was 14 metres (42ft.) which was exciting if not daunting! Why couldn't we have had a few lions prowling below to really spice things up?
