Here at the Activities Centre we provide work experience placements to young people between the ages of 14 – 19. Each placement offers the participant the opportunity to get involved in the world of work which allows them to complete a valuable and essential part of their education. The work experience placement with MYCT entails a young person carrying out a range of tasks and duties in much the same way as an employee or regular volunteer, with the emphasis on learning from the experience.The work experience gives young people the chance to learn about skills and personal qualities, as well as roles and structures in the workplace. It helps them to develop their employability skills, relates their learning to work, and helps them on their journey into work in later life. |

I enjoyed my work experiance at MYCT. it was alot of fun and it was very helpful and interesting. the groups that came were all differant ages and abillities and all the staff at MYCT were frendly, fun and helpful. I am planing to come back verry soon.
i enjoyed work xp all the staff where really helpfull expecially Phil Jeff and Bill they all showed me how to set up all of the activities properly so I can now can set them all up myself if it is possible because some like the rope bridges and zip wire need more people. we went on a hike in Wales which was a good experiance because I have never went on a hike as long as that.
I enjoyed my 2 weeks of work experience at Merseyside youth challenge trust. It was fun I learnt lots of new different stuff such as different activities like abseliling, aerial runway etc. I really enjoyed the hike. It was really good Thank you

The 2 weeks I spent on work experience in MYCT where very active. I learned how to work in a team with people of different age groups and had a fun work experience.
I really enjoyed doing my work experience at MYCT as I learnt how to set up various activities with Phil and Jeff. I also learnt how to do 6 knots in 60 seconds alongside learning how to work with children. I am hoping to volunteer during some of the holidays.

Thanks alot to the myct staff for letting me do work exprience at there facilities. i felt this really helped me alot and taught me alot of different useful things. thanks to Bill for taking me in for the work experience and thanks alot to Phil and Jeff for helping me for the whole time i was there, and also thanks for taking me up Moelfannau this was hard but really enjoyable, the hardest things was probably getting there

I really enjoyed my time at work experience and found archery and absailing brilliant, thanks to the staff at MYCT for making me feel comfortable. Also thanks to Phil, Jeff and Bill for taking us down to Moelfannau which i found challenging but i really had a good time.
I enjoyed my two weeks of work experience at MYCT. it taught me lots of new skils, like abseiling and the 6 knots. I also completed alot of new activities. during the two weeks phil helped us complete the activities

I enjoyed my 2 weeks work experience in MYCT. I have had fun taking part in the activites and working with nice people.The activites such as abseiling and crate climing have give me more confidence and trust people. Phil was incharge of us throughout the 2 weeks he was a good role model and helped us with any problems. I have really learnt alot and will be sad to go. Thank you Holly
I have enjoyed the two weeks in MYCT. I have learnt how to do six types of knots. Also, I know how to set up different types of activities and took responsibility for the children.
Vounteering at MYCT is a great experience, not only do you learn fantastic new skills but you can boast you confidence, become an better leader. Being at MYCT is an enjoyable experience. There are a mixture of challenging activities that you can learn and become an instructor of including abseling and archery. This is valuable experience which will help my future career. Thanks MYCT.

My experience at MYCT has been nothing less than excellent. Over my two weeks on placement I have met a lot of interesting people who I would like to work with again when I volunteer in the near future. I think my career in later life will be somthing outdoors.
